NY Front Plate
I know in NY it is necessary to have a front license plate. I know this because in my 1995 Corvette state trooper pulled my dad over because he had the cover over it. Is there any pictures of the car with front plates on? Or are they allowing it in NYS without them?

My front plate and my dads are in the top passenger side of windshield..
those hideaway plates tested at high speedS?

I've gone plateless and I live in the heart of nyc. I have not gotten a single ticket, nyc cops have bigger problems, plus if they want to start some shit, my cousin is a marshall and has gotten me out of plenty tickets

Luckily here in BFE, NY the cops aren't real anal about it. Probably because we don't have red light cameras for revenue collection yet. I figure I'll put one on when motorcycles have to. What I would like to see is the choice to pay a waiver fee not to have one. $25/yr wouldn't be out of order. They could code your window sticker or make it a different color so Buford T. Justice wouldn't pull you over for no reason. Maybe I'll write my state rep if I can figure out who it is and whether or not they are in jail

I've gone past or been passed by several local and county depts without a glance.
Yesterday though a trooper took a looong head turning look. Luckily he kept going up the on ramp to the expressway. Needless to say I (ehem) decided to change my route to one that wouldnt let him do a u turn on the expressway and sneak up behind me. I'd like to think he was checking out my car for the automotive enjoyment...but Troopers seem to be like robots...so I know he was thinking if it was worth swinging back to get me. I haven't been hassled...but I guess it's only a matter of time. If I'm going to get it...it'll probably be from a State Trooper. They seem to have nothing better to do. But I don't want to drill holes and I'm too worried about catching the show and go on a driveway approach or curb. Maybe I'll try that toggle bolt option...on a fix it ticket - If I'm lucky.
