Schosche 2-DIN stereo kit in a ZL1 with Navigation?

Anyone here has the Scosche stereo kit installed in their ZL1 that originally had the MyLink with Navigation installed?

I am talking about this Scosche kit:

I don't have it. Nice idea, and its pretty cool. I enjoy the looks of the knob controls though.

So do I, but I am bringing my ZL1 with me to Sweden and the navigation will not work in Sweden. The best option is to replace it with an aftermarket stereo (the MyLink is not that fancy anyway and should be avoided if you ask me).

Crutchfield reports that it does work on a 2013 so it will likely work fine on a 2014 though they haven't researched it.

At the same time it says on their website that cars with factory navigation are not supported. I wonder what the differences are.

I have sent an email to them asking this.

Will not work with factory MyLink NAVIGATION cars. I would also like to know what the difference between the nav and non nav models that prevents the Scosche kit from working with a Nav car.

According Scosche their R&D team are not able to understand WHY their kit is not working properly with the MyLink Navigation equipped cars. There is some disturbances apparently.

So I am going with the Metra kit instead. They can guarantee that it works even though you've had navigation.

Exactly what does the Scosche R&D team state about the kit not working? I have mine installed a couple of weeks, with the OEM Mylink/headunit completely removed and have no issues.

If the NAV wasn't available from the factory I would go with a solution like this. I beleive Pioneer has a nice setup as well.

That's what I'm doing. Most probably going with the Metra kit and then the Pioneer AVIC-F60DAB which has really cool features and gives me exact what I need. I just hope it will work with my factory bluetooth mic and backup camera, steering wheel controls and all that.

Is it feasible to use this kit with the factory radio?

Or is there a product out there that simply replaces the trim panel and climate control buttons?

I basically just want the climate control aspect to be touch screen or at least less obtrusive. I hate the knobs...

No you can't really use the factory radio with these. They're made for a 7" radio AFAIK.

You would be better off replacing the original anyway, it kind of stinks with its slow touch interface and all.

Agreed, it's not a great interface by any stretch, but also comes with a price to replace. If I could just replace the knobs for less, I'd jump on it immediately.
