Hey Gang ...

Just checking out the site tonight and stumbled onto this thread. I'll try to jump back in here (or recruit Robin) to get you the entire parts list. There's around $15k-$20k in GM Performance Parts to have an LS7 Camaro ....

Thanks,
Jamie

As Jamie points out making the change to the LS7 isn't as complicated as some would suggest.

A good tuner could re cal the LS3 ECU to run the LS7. Not hard at all.

might want to upgrade the clutch, but the drivetrain will take the beating

It truly depends on how you drive. Many older people like my self could go a very long time with the stock clutch and a 427.The fusible link becomes the tires.

The Camaro SS has a ls7 clutch already,So does the Ls3 Vette. The trick clutch would be a zr1 or a cadillac ctsv(2009).But we have not been able to get a flywheel made to work with our crankshaft....Long story!

yeah i hear that, but obviously if im gonna make that kind of power im gonna use it, but i never "beat" on my cars. is there a torque rating on the stock clutch to go by? or is there a decent clutch kit coming out soon so i can throw that in when the motor is out?

If I am not mistaken the stock drivetrain is rated to 550 or 600 HP , someone confirm ?

Robin

Would you have to do anything else to the car after you program the LS3 ECU to run at the LS7's?
