I bought the GM windscreen and mostly use it when my wife rides in the car. It reduces the turbulence enough that she doesn't have to worry about her hat blowing off. Driving the freeway is where I find it makes the biggest difference. With the screen and the windows up you can easily listen to the radio and carry on a conversation. Road and wind noise when the top is up is definitely louder than the coupe but I personally don't find it objectionable. I look at it as a small price to pay to be able to drive with the top down.

I need to get a photo. It is only my observation but the top is definately more compact when down.

I'm not aware of any top changes since the ones instituted with the late '12 and '13 MY.
I have a '13 ZL1 with a build date of of 8/22/2012. The first photo shows the cords that were added to help the top fold more compactly in the well. These were not present on my '11 and early '12 verts. The second photo shows how compact the top folds in the well. You'll notice how it's kept away from the sides of the well. The fold points on my '12 would touch the rear deck. I'd be interested to see if the '14 folds more compact than this. The last photo shows how high the top sits when it's folded. It is definitely higher than what my '11 and '12 tops sat. I always put the tonneau cover on when I drive topless so I don't know how much the redesign has decreased the "flapping". I know my '11 top would flap like a flag in a stiff breeze.

Changes for MY2012 were put on the line in February 2012. This was to the top and water bag. My info came from Jack Pantaleo the Camaro brand manager. I got that info at the same time my buyback was approved on my first 2012 vert. So far 12k on it and a minor rub from the rear deck but I always tuck it under so it won't rub any worse. Much more impressed with the overall quality on the second car than the first.

I got a sales summary for a 2014 build today. The salesman asked if I wanted the GM windscreen said yes but could not give me a price. Will that help if I have passengers or is that just for the front seaters? |

Hawk, the two areas that come to points in the rear were not present on the.. 2014. It was straight and looked perfectly folded.

You'll have to take it out if you have anyone in the back seat. Its a screen that snaps in behind the front seats and covers most of the rear seat.

Baba, 100% right on with your observations. I'll echo them all, that's it in a nutshell. Nice summary! :-)
