Koni, Bilstein, where are you??
Has anyone heard anything regarding availability of aftermarket shocks for those of us who have lowering springs?

Part of the problem with that idea is that we have coilover shocks... so the shocks are designed specifically for the springs that are mounted on them.
So I doubt there will be a "universal" shock for aftermarket lowering springs available from the bigger companies. But im SURE they'd be happy to sell you a new coilover setup complete with their own proprietary springs for a monetary fee of course!

MTI racing has the bilstein shock replacements for the 2010 camaro. But again they will want you to buy the coilovers as well to complement the shocks.

I'm with you. I hope someone comes out with some re-valved bilsteins to run on lowered cars. Had bilsteins on my last 2 cars and loved them!

While I agree that a matched spring/shock combo would be best, Bilstein makes their "Sport" version, which usually has shorter stroke for the lowered cars.
It just seems odd that they are not available yet. |

Yeah you're right about the "sport" shocks and struts. I'm sure they'll have something out in a while. These are 2010 cars and it's barely 2010!

I thought coilovers came complete with shocks? I would love to lower my car except most of the parts are so damn expensive! took me a damn long time to save up enough to buy my black beauty (down payment) only to come & find it will probably take a "damn long time" to buy all these cool parts....:(
