You are the 2nd one that dynoed in lower with VR installed so I guess VR is just not dynoable because it surely does perform well on the street.
Well I did my dyno ASE correction. Before the correction I was at 246RWHP / 230.3RWTQ. Now with a correction of 1.048 I'm at 258RWHP / 241RWTQ. And I do know how well it performs on the road! I do not regret ever buying the VR, and my exhaust note sound awesome

That sound about right Now you can do the same for your 48* run and see what was the exact gain but as we all know you probably gained alot more in actuality since VR will perform better at high speed when is taking in massive air.

The list has been updated!

Ok so I did my full ASE dyno conversion and my gains look good! And found my dyno graph photo's from my last session this past July!

Stock Dyno 46*/81% humid - 257RWHP / 240RWTQ **ASE Corrected Dyno - 241RWHP / 225RWTQ

VR intake & MRT V1 Dyno 98*/85% humid - 246RWHP / 230RWTQ **ASE Corrected Dyno - 258RWHP / 241RWTQ

So just on the dyno only you gained 17hp and 16 lb of tq, and that is with no ram air effect so that is awesome.

Manual or Auto: manuel

Mileage at the time of dyno: @23500

3rd/4th gear pull: 4th

Type of dyno and Model: Dynojet 224xLC

Date/Time/Temp: 10/28/2011 11:27am 60.9degrees 25% humidity 25.82 in HG

Modification at the time of dyno: K&N Cai, vmax throttle body, ported intake, bbk longtubes w/high flow cats, MBRP catback, Trifecta tune. 3.73 gears

Dyno result 263.53hp / 247.95tq

Then I loaded Nitrous tune

Manual or Auto: manuel

Mileage at the time of dyno:@ 23500

3rd/4th gear pull: 4th

Type of dyno and Model: Dynojet 224xLC

Date/Time/Temp: 10/28/11 11:48am 63.1degrees 23%humidity 25.82 in HG

Modification at the time of dyno: all of the above +100hp shot of nitrous(zex)

Dyno result: 319.54hp / 329.88tq

Leaves me a ton of room to tweak the tune.

Posted sheet in this thread, but will get a pic in this thread, when i get to a computer.

I'm assuming I did that SAE conversion right. It states it on the Dyno sheet, and that's what i came up with using the calculator. I guess I'm not completely understanding that.

Boy.. sure would be nice to be a low lander (Atco raceway altitude.... 90ft / RMR raceway.... 4200ft) gotta love living in the mountains. Nothing like power robbing!

I am loving how that 100shot look on the dyno jeff

I am really starting to wonder and doubt the "ideal" stock v6 camaro dyno numbers. The usual number for a v6 camaro with long tube headers, tune, intake, and exhaust seem to be 260-270. If the autos are suppose to dyno around 250 stock and the manuals 260 stock, then does this mean that almost 90% of dyno that peoples are getting on are not properly calibrated? or does this mean the mods are not really giving us what we were expecting all along? It's crazy right?

Also, the pressure seem to be off. I looked at the posted 25 in hg and the correction factor and I said WOW lol. According to wunderground http://www.wunderground.com/history/...q_statename=NA and at the location of JDP at your posted time and date the pressure read 30.33, 48.9f, and 31% humidity which should give you a more realistic correction factor at 0.931 that comes out to ASE corrected hp of 244hp. I have no idea where JDP get there weather station info from for their dynojet but some take it directly from the indoor and some from the real outside air, but even if there was some discrepancy the pressure should be about the same no matter if is from the outside or the indoor. I have no idea where they get the 25 inch of pressure.

Another thing you might want to double check is to make sure that your dyno numbers are not already ASE converted numbers. Since the temp was cold enough you are def getting lower ASE numbers. STD numbers is what calculates the condition in real time.

Either way, great run One thing I had to learn quickly is to not get so strung on dyno numbers. I feel like a tape recorder when I say this but dyno is only a measuring tool, and is only to be used to measure the difference your mods have made from one run to another

I dont know if I would believe 244hp... That would put me middle of the pack, on the stock Chart, and that would be if the Dyno itself was outside. I would believe the shop was 63*. I guess it would make more sense to me to think with the hundred shot, it wouldnt be to hard to believe, with the hundred shot, that I should be pushing 430 to 440, at the crank.and if you take the 18% for drive train loss, it puts those numbers a lot closer to reality. I dont put a ton of stock in the numbers, but I really wouldnt think, with the mods I have, I wouldnt be middle of the pack, stock, and very low end on the modded list.

Is your dyno numbers already ASE corrected? Can you post your dyno sheet?

well, that explains it jeff lol. It's already ASE corrected. ASE is a basically a number that you would get in the most ideal condition so it can be easy to compare with a car that dyno in summer time vs winter just for an example.

You are good.

So does that mean the SAE correction I did is right? I'm not understanding that much.
