Hey Erik,

My son lives in Royal Palm Beach.
How often do they run? I need an excuse to go down there!

Erik:

OK, I'm curious. What about the speed limiter? I thought that that was supposed to kick in @ around 155 mph? Is this in fact not the case?

SO I have an M6 as well, with just intake and exhaust. My question is, is there a govener on our cars or will our cars just simply go this fast. If there is a govener can we disable it. Thanks

I am sure they took the speed limiter out of the computer. I also heard some camaros did not have the speed limiter programed in the car from the manufacture. Not sure if its true or not, only had mine to 132mph.

No, far from it! This car will hit top speed in 5thy gear. 6th gear is just an overdrive. I have had the car up to 186mph in 5th and still had plenty och RPM's.

About every other month in the winter. Keep an eye on www.topgunrun.com or www.milemarker-1.com

Removed that the day I bought the car. We can remove in when we tune the car.

Yes there is, we always remove it in the tune (if the customer wants us to)

Thanks Erik,

Both sites are bookmarked. Now, to convince the wife!
She did let me go to C5Fest; so there's hope (maybe this fall).

Erik,

Side note. I spent many hours doing "touch and goes" at Dade-Collier during my time while stationed at Opa Locka (USCG). It was called Dade-Collier Jetport at that time.

Fastest all-motor Camaro to date?
I want to know what the fastest partial-motor Camaro has achieved. I mean, I have never gotten why people throw around the term "all-motor" like it should make a difference.

Believe me, I understand the differences between what can be achieved with a normally-aspirated powerplant versus a forced-induction one, but it's the term all-motor that tickles me. It's not like a supercharger or turbo is not part of the powertrain of certain vehicles, too.

To me, it would be like a math major bragging that he/she took a test using "all-brain" versus using a calculator. In the end, it doesn't matter how you got the result, it's the result that matters. I'd rather get an "A" grade using a calculator than a "C" grade without one.

Of course, the guy who got the "C" grade would probably say, "Yeah, well, I got my grade "all-brain" and didn't have to cheat!"

Oh, congrats on the run in any case. N/A or FI that's moving in a stock suspension car.

I respectfully disagree. It's like in official road racing. Some classes allow F/I, some don't. I can hardly compare my self to an F/I car making 200hp more then me. If he wouldn't be faster I would laugh.

What I find impressive is being able to make almost 500rwhp N/A, and as many other fast cars do have some kind of F/I I want to show that my car is still "all motor" (just an expression) as in Naturally Aspirated.

Most people at the track think that I have a blower on the car, and they get very surprised when they hear that I don't. Just a simple H/C package and some amazing tuning.

When I do go TT, I'm not going to say "fastest F/I Camaro", I'm going to say "Fastest Camaro", period

Thanks!
