My Camaro V6 auto- A6 makes a typical power steering whine when it gets hot and it only has 9000 miles on it. It runs way too hot for me (200F), and no one makes a 160F thermostat.

Where do you read the temps on the power steering? yes any fluid will get hot, power steering is a high temp hydraulic blend oil. If it doesn't boil over that is really excessive.

Duke is referring to the coolant temperature, I believe.

The cooling system on my V-6 (2012) works differently, depending on whether the a/c is running. Mine does fans on at 180 and off at 170 when the a/c is engaged, but on/off at 220/210 when it is not. It is a high pressure cooling system and is designed to run that way. Do not drop in a 160 thermostat or you will probably confuse the computer as well as never reach designed operating temp.

The hose came with a coiled up wire inside to keep it from collapsing.

Siko,

We use a different hose now that does not need the spring inside. Please, if you guys need anything, hit me up on my cell.

Thanks,

Jesse!

Again sorry for the lag and thank you all so much for helping . So as of right now, they did figure out that the steering wheel pump's pressure was low. so right now its getting replaced and hopefully that should be the end of that ^_^
