Buying new home, sold the Camaro this weekend

Well, as much as I hated to I sold my Camaro this weekend. I'm moving to a new home, and may have two house payments for a few months, so I needed to let something go to downsize.

I've been trying to look at it as putting money into something that will hopefully appreciate rather than depreciate.

I'm going to be hanging around because I loved driving the Camaro and really like the looks of the new convertible. I'm sure I'll get the urge to have another toy car in a year or two.

G'bye for now !

Well, a house used to appreciate and be a good investment, but it isn't necessarily anymore!

Is you're new home in the Outer Banks too? I HATE YOU! haha.. I jokingly hate anyone that doesn't have to deal with snow, especially of they get to live at the beach. Sorry to hear about your car. Sell the 1st house and order yourself a ZL1 in a year!

Not that I'm saying this will happen with your home but just the thought of a home holding its value is some what ironic to me. I lost 75% of my home value thinking the same thing and my house was in downtown Scottsdale. I should've gone with my first instinct and got that GTO.

Your home should always come before cars. I've been remodeling my house for the last two months and it's looking great.

Rent is cheap and housing is still crashing, I'd agree when the market bottoms out. Just saying having lived that little dream and watched $100,000 dollars in equity paid disappear in the course of a couple months and turn into $250,000 underwater that I respectfully disagree. If I can buy for cash I will, but I'll never do a mortgage ever again.

If you bought a house 3-4 years ago you're finding that right now it was not a good investment.

Hey! you can come back with a new Gen5 in a few years, I had a 79 Vette which I liked a lot, Yellow, L-82, manual tranny, Survivor car. I sold it in 2004 while I intended to buy a C6 Vette. But I did buy a new house in 2006 and the value went up for at least $125,000.00 since, So last april I bought a use Gen5 and I still hve the + value on my house. My short sacrifice paid me well. You might have the same chance in a short period of time and join us later. Good choice,

Congrats on the new home. They make cars everyday. Don't sweat it. I'm sure you made the right choice.
