Oh goodness, what kind of monster are you going to create with the ZL-1?

Wow. That track is a tire-eater and suspension-beater. Lots of rough little elevation changes; especially uphill rises into a blind curve which is great for spinning out. Terrific demonstration of the magnetic suspension's ability to track all that! It's also quite a work-out for the driver. Great video!

Getting into the top 10 puts the ZL1 in some very lofty company there; awesome accomplishment for a "muscle" car.

But what was the time that the '12GT500 coupe ran it? I know the new vert is 3 seconds faster than the coupe but I dont know what time the coupe ran it?

For those interested .. comparable vid from the 2011 GT500 when it went around the track.

It will be nice to see if someone can take the Zl1 and 2013 GT500 around in the same day / same driver as well ... I'd have to give the advantage to the ZL1 as I just think the suspension and the tire is there to support the power ...

Awesome time! Though the driver were almost off-roading that car. So you can replicate that time in your car, you should buy several boxes of duck tape to cover the bumpers and side rocker panels. Not to mention new tires if you're going to curb the corners like that.

But if you want to sell a car from the point of view of what it can do on a road track, no matter the consequences after racing... Awesome job GMotors! Thats an impressive time.

I wonder, GMotors are putting these videos, but if I buy a ZL-1 and do that same to my car, its an automatic void for the warranty?

When I watched this earlier, it just seemed the driver was a lot more aggressive and less smooth. Maybe it was just the car wasn't as in control, I don't know, but you bring up an excellent point.
