Now that our shuttle program is gone, we need to start working on this.

Yes, I know it's not the shuttle...but I'm all about expansion into space. This means getting population on the Moon, Mars, and eventually out to some of the moons of Jupiter.

This is really the first step to getting out of our gravity well cheaply and effeciently.

While I do think the shuttle retirement was premature, I do agree we should start taking steps to start exploring greater space.

I'm very excited to see what the SLS will bring us.

i work at both Cape Canaveral Air Force Station and at Patrick AFB (supports CCAFS) and every launch we see is always amazing. never gets old. A few weeks ago we had the first "commercial" launch from a company called spaceX who the owner is the creator of Paypal. anywho, here are a few pictures i have taken from CCAFS:
