I used my 5 foot floor jack handle on my breaker bar and still could only get it about 90 degrees. It's still on there and doing fine. LOL

We are waiting to get our hands on a tool that bolts into where the starter goes that will hold the crankshaft from moving. We tried tightening today with the camaro in reverse and still no go. We'll use the stock bolt in order to finish the install and I'll baby it home and when the tool arrives, I'll go back to my friends garage and we'll finish it correctly. And maybe I'll get him to install my Pedders stainless steel brake lines and DOT4 brake fluid.

This. I changed over to an ARP crank bolt (until the ECS install which requires the longer LS7 bolt). I don't like fooling with Torque to Yield bolts. never had any fastener made by ARP fail.

When my friend and I installed my E-Force we used a 4' pipe on the breaker bar to turn it to 140 deg.

If you can't get it done with your impact wrench, you need to borrow mine...or get one that's a little more ballsy

Don't use an impact on TTY bolts...bad, bad, bad.
I used my jack handle as a cheater bar. 140* no problem.

He got it 140* after putting it in 4th, blocking the wheels with the PB on. 5' bar and a lot of cussin'.

Since the balancers aren't keyed to the crank, there is a very real potential for the bolt to come loose if not properly torqued. Use red Loctite on the threads when you go back in.
