2011 Camaro with ZL1 front fascia/rockers/diffuser and a 2014 SS hood

I was getting the itch to change something up on my Camaro and when it comes to body parts I try to stick with OEM pieces. I have had the ZL1 front fascia and rockers installed for some time and the rear diffuser has been waiting along with a Magnaflow ZL1 cat-back for months!!!

Then I got the idea to install the 2014 SS/Z28 hood... I wondered if it would fit and if it did what modifications would have to be made... I ordered the hood and installed it..

The hood fit!!! The only modification that we had to make was adjusting the cowl lines/bumps on the bumper which isn't too difficult. The final prodict is amazing and I love it!

The ZL1 diffuser has been done before but it really makes the car. I'm very pleased with this upgrade as well!

This is what she sounds like with the JDP Stage III camshaft package!
It sounds pretty wicked with our Stage III N/A camshaft package!!

Some might call it Frankenstein but it is unique! What do you think?!

Wow that combination looks amazing!!! The 2014 1LE style hood w/ the front bumper adjustment to match is absolutely perfect on the car. Very nice work!

Looks great

The only modification that we had to make was adjusting the cowl lines/bumps on the bumper which isn't too difficult.

Do you have a before and after pic of the modifications you needed to make? I dint understand what your referring to

You can see in this picture that the cowl or hood scoop is wider than the lines on the bumper; you can see the gap where the wider 2014 cowl extends past the "bumps" on the bumper.

Here we widened the raised area on the bumper out to match the wider cowl on the 2014 hood.

Do they make a Red tow hook like yours for the front of the 14's yet?

We just need to get one in for fitment but I'm 99% sure it will work on the 2014 as well.

Was your ZL1 facia previously adjusted for cowl line fit or did it have the original cowl lines?

Damn dude. You have stolen my thunder. A few local Camaro guys knew this was my secret new mission to be the first with a '14 SS hood on previous model year.

Oh well, my hats off to you. Where did you get the hood? Part number?
