Hood Spears on Black - Help - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hi, I am interested in information regarding hood spears. There is one member I have seen that has some awesome ones painted on their car, and they are working on getting some more close up pics. I think this type of thing looks great, and I am not sure how to go about finding a good quality paint shop to do it, but will probably post in the local Texas thread to start.

My request for help is to see some color options that would look good on black without being so bright. Maybe CGM would be good, but I would like something more unique and that kind of fades into the paint. Would anyone have any type of info or pictures of something like this, or should I post in the photoshop requests, would that be something they could try to do in photoshop?

I really want something very subtle, and may consider the bowties the same color. I wanted them black but if I can find something good on the spears that might work on the bowties too... Thoughts or help please...

Didn't someone have a black one with CGM spears on here? I seem to remember seeing one that was very subtle, but still cool...

I would love to see the black with CGM, but I would still love to hear or see what a faded paint job could/would look like... Do any of you know of any painters are on the sight, hopefully in the Houston area? Or where I would post to find one if they are here?

Here is a shot of my hood spears. Will be getting some better shots next Monday. I put these on to see how I liked them before I had them painted on. Turned out pretty good so I may keep them. These came from the sticker witch off of ebay for about $60 plus $5 shipping.

The spears look so great to me, IMO they are better looking or classier than the full stripes. Maybe it is preference, but they are just more laid back, not in your face... IDK, I just like them better personally... Thanks to all of you who have shared so far, look forward to more so I can see my options...

Still want to see painted, and it doesn't have to be on black, but hope to see some sort of fade if anyone has one...
