Yes, took me less than 20 minutes to install the VMAX PTB. The science is briefly explained here, but there are several existing threads on the topic and it is a proven and easy add-on with good results.

Simply put, the throttle body (TB) "throat" is honed out by a computer controlled process. It actually removes a small amount of material from the factory TBs and makes the opening smooth and near-perfect. Stock TB throats actually have imperfections, humps, ridges, etc. (though you'd probably need a microscope to see them) that disrupts the air flow coming into the throat on it's way to the intake manifold. A CNC ported throttle body makes that air flow smoother, actually giving it a spiraling effect, thus improving throttle response.

The difference is noticeable - especially on the V6 engines. You won't regret it. Best $150 mod you can do. Combine it with a CAI Cold Air Intake and scoop and your engine can breathe easier and respond more quickly. Install for CAI, PTB and scoop takes less than 2 hours (the scoop taking at least half the time). You don't "need" the scoop to feel the improvements, but I think it makes it a little better.

Oh, and uh... skip the spacer.
