Traction. 111mph traps is enough for 12.2s or faster. Doesn't need any more power to run those times, just needs to hook up. Friend of mine ran 12.3@109 and another ran 11.5@115 with a decent hooking car.

I should have said 12.2s without adding any more power. 326rwhp is enough to probably touch high 11s setup properly.

I've heard of peoples heat shields coming loose but it's weird that it's only under light acceleration. If something was rubbing against the drive shaft you would think the noise would be anytime I'm accelerating...

I need to take it to the dealer. Not sure if they'll look at it with My bolt on mods though.

Stupid POS Camaro!
Rick, I've had my car into Gus Paulos a couple of times. They will look at it mods or no, but will charge you for it if it's not covered under warranty. I think they like to see Camaros with mods, breaks up the monotony of all stock, all the time.

I hear ya, that's what I'm up against as well. I've past the traps once at 113, once at 112 and consistently at 111 but running high 12's. I know when I get the drag radials, and get the 3.45 gears just installed dialed in, I'll be in the low 12's. The goal is high 11's before I SC the car in the fall.

If you want a blower do an ECS kit with the right size pulley/restrictor, make 600rwhp uncorrected, and go lay down some awesome times.

That being said at elevation and with the number of good kits out, I would do a turbo setup.

Not real big on turbos. I Hear turbo and I picture ricers. I've been doing research on a Procharger setup for over a year now and about 99% certain that's the way I'm going. I don't like the look of the ECS chargers. They look like an Army surplus charger.. Big and bulky. With a smaller pulley, a wastegate to control the boost pressures up high, my car will put down over 600 at the wheels with this setup. There are several that already are. If I can run anywhere in the 10's, I'll be happy.

Several of us are going out to Miller Motorsports Park next weekend (June 8-10) for the PCA Full Track Event!
If you have some prior experience on both tracks (East and West), then you are able to join in the fun and action!
You can sign up for 1, 2, or all 3 days.
Instructors are available at no additional cost!
This is the cheapest event you will find for a wide open full track at Miller.

Registration closes Mon Jun 4, 2012 at 11:59PM
