Floor jack pad for the ZL1

Here is a pad I made to use a floor jack on the car. I looked all over under the car and there is not to many places to jack the car up with out going so far under it.

It is made to lift the car where GM made openings in the black molding for a jack that comes with the other Camaros.

How far back is that from the front wheel? I just bought a new low profile jack to use for my car.

If you look, there is a slot about a foot back in front to use a jack on. It has a opening to use a jack that has a slot in it. It is the weld point and to use the low floor jack you need a slot cut into a block to keep from bending the flange and not hit the black molding.

I bought a round rubber pad that goes on a jack from amazon.com for like $10

Check this out on AMZN: Prothane 19-1405 Red 5" Jack Pad http://amzn.com/B00387A6TC

The ZL1 needs a pad that will go up though the opening of the lower panel. The lower rocker panel is lower than the point that you lift on, so we need something that will go up inside the rocker panel.

This pad is for the ZL1 but will work on the other Camaros.

My jack comes with a pad like the amazon, I do not want to jack up on the rocker panel molding, the ZL1 has a low black rocker panel molding that is low.

I've been looking for the safe jack points, can anyone give a good picture or description of where they are?
