youd be surprised how much lighter this car will get by stripping things out. the seats being replaced with carbon fiber race seats can drop about 25lbs a piece. my new carbon fiber hood i just bought only weighs 27lbs.

The front cradle on the AI Camaro race car took a ton of weight out. Although I think the SSX has the OE front cradle. That is just an example though. I didn't realize the OE hood was aluminum, I am interested in the answer to this question too!! |

It is aluminum. From my understanding there isn't much savings from aluminum to CF.
