is the lsa supercharger capable of making 1000whp+
I need some help with a good parts list for making 1000whp+ on my 2012 camaro ZL1 6-speed, but keeping the stock supercharger. i know i want to run e85. i am looking for a dependable setup. the car is not my daily. ported snout/supercharger? ported heads? what pulley size? injectors?

Truth be told, it would be a struggle. I'm maxed out at 750 whp with LSA, no porting, stock LS3 heads, GT9 cam, FIC1300 injectors, e85, 2.5/9.5 pulleys, meth injection, headers, CAI, Aux pump.
Adding a bottle could get me there but no thanks. |

Yes, but it'll need a little extra help. Check out GuitarmageddonZL1 on YouTube. He made 1,100rwhp with his LSA, cam, and a BIG shot of nitrous.

Kong porting makes a difference. Probably not enough without NOS boost to get over 1000. King is what I’m doing once I complete my other mods.

I just did a port job on on my newly aquired lsa blower from synergy motorsports but wont have time to test it until i finish gathering the parts for a lsa conversion...but he said best bet id probably get around 700ish and give or take 730ish with e85 and meth...

For a 6spd car, I think the best you can do is about 820-850 with a ported 1900, 5", 103, aftermarket heads, big cam, e85 (assuming stock displacement). Need NOS or a 2650 to get there in my opinion. But once you are at 1k, you really need more reinforcement in the block and rods/pistons. So you might as well bump the displacement and also buy a 2650.

Don't know why you would want that much with a manual trans. It's just going to blow the tires away, and if it ever did hook - goodbye clutch or trans.
I think a manual ZL1 is incredibly fun with 1 to 2 hundred more horsepower, not more than doubling it. And even then you need to up the cooling, up the intake cooling, ditch the cats. HP = heat. For bumps in hp, need bumps in cooling. For a "dependable set up" lower hp expectations way down. If truly looking for dependable s/c LS power at 4 digits, just look at some of Bororski's 2650 builds. Dart block, 6 bolt All Pro heads, best rotating assembly and valve train money can buy and a 2650 S/C. A small supercharger trying to make big power on a relatively large engine starts to kill it's efficiency. It's building way too much intake heat. It's a volumetric efficiency thing. Gale Banks is really one who studies and is the the master of efficient boost. It's not about the boost pressure number - it's about the air fuel charge density and temperature. If you are making big power with a small S/C... on Gale's dyno instruments he would say - that blower is out to lunch. A small s/c spun fast is more intended for throttle response and mid range. It'll make big boost if forced to, but IATs and charge density will be out to lunch very quick. That first cool dyno pull will be amazing, after that - downhill fast. |

I’m in the same boat as Vega Bound. After my latest mods, ~800 to the wheels now (added meth, CAI plus a few extras). NOS or some additional upgrades would be necessary. My cam is setup more for road racing and not a max effort.

Gentleman who works with me has a 14 ZL1 and he has the blower ported, heads, cam ect and put down 830 at the wheel at RPM last year on E85. Seems he was about maxed with it
