right, so i was half correct in your mind...not sure its "bs" but still, my tips look perfect because i took my time when cutting the exhaust pipe.

Ok, after hearing Dangeruss at a local meet today... I am hooked. Have to go with the full ATAK catback and get headers. If anybody has heard his set up, you have to agree - It's a thing of beauty!

Thanks Russ for answering all the questions I had

So question about the Borla catback....

I am noticing a slight rattle where the mid brace is. Did anybody remove this to prevent sliding or the rattle? We have tried to rotate the pipes slightly to prevent this, but seems to sit right on it.

I have also concidered getting a wrap (one that can handle the heat) to protect and lift it slightly

Thoughts or other experiences for me to tell them?

Thanks in advanced

will the Borla ATAK CAT full system as shipped fit in the trunk of the Camaro?
I am wondering if when I get it I'll have to take the system to the shop in my truck. Since it's a pretty good distance I'd rather just put it in the back of the Camaro and make one trip.

I have just the atak axle back and in my opinion its not loud enough. I will have long tube headers and no cats n a few weeks I hope it sounds better! PQ I see you're an OU fan glad I'm not alone. Boomer Sooner!

Hey everybody,

I have looked around and cannot find the answer to my question, so thought I woud throw it out there.

I am a newbie, not afriad to admit it, and am curious: I am going to buy the Borla ATAK exhaust, but, if I do just the rear section versus the setup with Xpipe, what am I losing?

Is the rear section just the sound and the xpipe gives you the performance? It is half the price and I do not plan on tuning my Camaro, just looking to beef up the sound (I read with CAI/Exhaust/etc you really need to tune to take full gains). I have a 2SS/L99

Thanks for the help in advance and I hope I didn't embarrass myself

sounds like you're the kinda guy who bought a car, but you want it to sound as cool as it looks. all you need to know is the difference in price and what you can afford. if you can afford it, go cat-back. there is no other option, if you can afford it.

i went axle-back with just a muffler/tip swap out for the meantime. but i fully plan on removing that 4' long canister between the cat's and the rear end and putting in an x-pipe and re-connecting the mufflers.

the only reason i didn't go cat-back is because i didn't feel like spending any cash at the time.
