Win a 2011 SS/RS Camaro!

Beloit Youth Hockey Association in Beloit WI is giving a way a 2011 2SS/RS Camaro on April 9th 2011.

All procedes will go to Beloit Youth Hockey to provide upgraded equipment and to help keep the cost of playing youth hockey in the area low. Beloit Youth Hockey is already the cheapest option in the are for youth to play competitive hockey but we want to make sure these costs stay low so more kids can learn and enjoy the great game of hockey. In addition to this, the board of directors at BYHA has decided to give 10% of our profits to a local Veterans group which assists getting WW2 Veterans to DC to see their memorial.

Ticket cost is $20 and only 5000 tickets will be sold. Tickets can be bought online at www.winachevycamaro.com

Thanks in advance for the support and good luck!

P.S If this needs to be moved please advise.

Thanks!

Can I just win it for being the first to post a reply? But really... that's a LONG ways off. I wouldn't even remember if I bought a ticket now.

The reason we are drawing in April is we need the entire hockey season to sell tickets. Also who wants to drive home a new Camaro in WI in November or December???? True we would gross $100K but we also have to pay for the car, Another eason why we need a whole hockey season to sell the tickets.

Buy a ticket and if you win, we will let you know

Thanks

In the rules it states that no warranty is expressed or implied.

Now being that this is a brand new car I'm assuming that the original GM warranty will still be vaild, correct?

You would assume the warranty would be a part of it, but good question

So there's nothing to worry about. If you win they will tell you (I think!), and if you lose, you won't remember you lost $20.

The question i have is this. Have they already bought the car, and 8 months of warrenty/onstar..etc would already be used in april.

Or will the car be purchased and delivery expected in april?

It doesn't work that way. If they don't get enough interest, they will cancel the sweepstakes and return the money to ticket holders. Only when they cross a threshold of tickets sold are they obligated to give the car away. They already contracted with a dealer to supply the car (at a reduced cost, but dealer gets
free advertising). The in-service date is the date the winner picks up the car from the contracted dealer. Its all in the fine print.

Max of 5000 tix @ $20 each = $100,000 received. I'll assume that they only need to sell 2000 tickets to break even, so that would be the threshold.

eh, either way I'll buy a ticket. No warranty just means that I can crack the engine for a cam, lol.
