Replace Rear Window (Broken Into)

So somebody decided to smash my back window....

I went to dealer but they want a ton of money to replace, but cannot be that difficult. Has anybody replaced the rear winows by chance? I looked around for a thread but if somebody can point me to one or post if its that hard, let me know please.

most have a no deductible or $100 for glass breakage. Might want to check your policy.

Why the hell would they break that window? I feel you need a baby to crawl in or a really long stick to unlock the car.

Pretty stupid thief to try and get in through the back window. Depends on your insurance provider, but usually a window replacement is around a $100 deductible, I have had several windshields replaced on different vehicles and never had to pay the full deductible. Sometimes the glass place will contact your insurance company for you. Worth checking into...

I didn't know that but will give them a call. Thanks for the heads up.

They never got in, Guess when they figured out it's four feet to the door handle they left since in a company garage with alarm going off

Make sure and tell them you want OEM Replacement. Otherwise it can look slightly different. I had it happen! Also, watch him and make sure after they pull the window and trim the adhesive out that they paint the surface to prevent rusting if he scratched the metal getting the sealant off! Safelite was good when they did my windshield on my SUV.
