Help - wide tire mounting in Henderson?
Tire Mount Help needed in Henderson, NV --
I need to get a set of rear tires mounted, and my usual shop (Discount Tire on Eastern) has declined to do it because the rim is not within the "recommended" width range for the tire. I am mounting a 315/35/20 Invo on my stock 20x9 wheel. Yeah, I know the rim is an inch or so narrower than it should be, but I've seen that combo mounted many times, and contrary to interwebz legend, the car did NOT explode, fly off the road, kill all the dinosaurs, etc. I know it's not "optimal" but I think it would be just fine for a street driven, never-tracked car. Anyone know of a tire shop who does special tasks like this? (Preferrably one in the 215/Eastern or 215/Stephanie area) Thanks! Kent |
