Here a post on it. Looks like the plastic inner well would keep from water splashing on it, I just would stay out of 2 ft puddles of water.

I have one - been on about a week. It's fairly well protected just be certain to install the hydroblock pre filter and don't floor it while driving through massive water. The Seattle rain is not very heavy should be fine...

Yea you're rite it hasn't really just poured down raining i don't think but i would just hate for over time that hydro shield wears down through all the mist you know? At the same time though i want the best CAI out there for the price which is Injen hands down and the setup to me looks nice as well.
