I browse NBCNEWS.com, which was msnbc.

They still have a small link down in the tech and science section.

But there is plenty of stuff way above it on the marketability of the other Armstrong Lance

They also covered that Tony Scott guys death for over a week

You are right. At the banner at the VERY TOP, they show Neil Armstrong's name. And other than this banner at the top, and a section in the "opinion" area, he is not mentioned anywhere else. And also, it's not mentioned that Neil Died. In fact, the front page doesn't say "he passed away". They just say his name, as if he is still here, like he is making some kind of SPEECH or something. They aren't saying the important part, that A LEGEND DIED.

Not defending CNN but perhaps they are respecting Mr. Armstrong's wishes:

Neil Armstrong, a hero who shunned fame

THIS IS NEIL'S GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT in his career:

When he nervously said this out loud: "There are great ideas undiscovered. Breakthroughs available to those who can remove one of Truth's protective layers."

I don't think they're following Neil's wishes. And if that's their excuse for not saying more about him, then shame on CNN.

The reason they aren't reporting about it is simply because most people don't care. And CNN won't report something that a lot of people don't caresabout. Simple as that.

Now I'm not saying that everyone doesn't care, just most of America doesn't. They're more concerned about their reality TV shows and the drama that comes with them.

It's truly sad that we've forgotten what's important.

Neil Armstrong led a very quiet out of the public eye life by choice, and I have no doubt he desired his death to be the same..

I have read a few articles on him and all seem to have the same basic premise, he wanted his death as muted as he kept his life.

Yeah, I don't think Neil Armstrong dying and Snooki having a baby is what Mustafa meant when talking about the "Circle of Life"...

Yes....and why? we should be honoring every soldier out there risking their life for freedom (or political BS whichever side your on) and the heck with Lindsy Lohan, or any other drug/alcohol addled star.

They are the heros....they give all.

I agree, total crap.

I understand and respect his wishes, however his and fellow Americans of that era's accomplishments need to be celebrated. Then and only then will America be great again. Family vaules and work ethic have been replaced by snooki and the lot.

Neil can now once again look down at the Earth and rest........

Thanks Neil for all of your humble dedication and service to the country.

I'd call him the strong silent type. People think of him as quiet because he never cashed in on his fame and he was a very well spoken gentle person but that dude really was the greatest bad ass that ever lived.

Check this out...

In a documentary astronauts describe seeing Neil in his office calmly sitting at his desk shortly after that crash and they asked him about coming so close to getting killed and the man barely said a word about it. He was so calm, cool, and collected he amazed even other astronauts with his steady nerve. The guy was made of ice.

I think the documentary is When We Left Earth.

It is really sad that with Neil Armstrong passing I'm reminded how much people no longer admire tough good-hearted, smart people who lead by example. I actually feel sick to my stomach and that is a damn shame. I'm going to go find somebody bigger than me who likes Jersey Shore and punch them right in the face.
