Interested in a 575hp Camaro?

Just found out my Dealership is looking to order one of the new ZL575 (supercharged) Camaro's from SLP!! Word is there are only going to be 250 produced in 6spd and 250 in auto trans. I havn't been told which they plan on yet, but either way...cooool!!! Here's the site www.slpcamaro.com

WOW!!!
Very cool. You,....must...take....pics!!!! lol PLEASE!
I know I'm going to get a TON of flack for this, but that 575 car, actually, any one of those SLP cars, I WOULD NOT drive. I repeat, WOULD NOT drive. Those are going to be some serious collector type cars in some years down the line. Great brochure with great explanation of options!

So you're thinking strictly collector, not a weekend or occassional driver?

That's if it were me. I wouldn't drive that bad boy. (OK!! Maybe a couple of times. lol) But, that's a great collector status type car.

No way I'm buying a car like that just to look at it. I'm driving the hell out of it. If I wanted to just look at it I'd save the money and go to the website again.

Major Word. I'm too much of a car junkie to sit back and look at one.

What would be the sense of buying it and staring at it? LOL

Sorry, But I plan on driving my Lingenfelter prepared car.. even if it is a work of art.
Come watch me race it like it was meant to do.

The SLP upgrade comes with a huge price tag. SLP is charging $24,000 for the package without any dealer markups.

If it were me personally, I would select the options you want and have them done the way you desire. I have a 700hp 2010 Camaro (604rwhp) and it did not cost me nearly as much as the SLP would. I was able to select how I wanted it done and where to draw the line with power. The SLP car is putting 575hp at the crank - not at the rear wheels.

I was told about $23k for the whole package but I completely understand where u are coming from. I do like the whole look and projected performance (engine, exhaust, suspension, ect.) but not something I can afford right now. Having said that...I'm sure there are those out there who can and who said ANYTHING about mark-up! I guess it's just 1 way to get a complete package delivered straight from factory to SLP factory to the Dealership. Anyway..I still can't wait to see and hear it!
