I put $1k down to be #1 on my dealers list and that $1k will get applied to the purchase of my car.

It is fairly standard for dealers who will get a long list of people waiting to do this. It weeds out serious buyers vs. People who are interested.

Becky, I have you noted. I actually TOLD my mom about you today on the way home as I told her I didn't like that dealership.. Her questions where based around shipping and price to ship. She told me (and correct me if I'm wrong) but the money I would save on the car if given a good deal, would go towards shipping it to me. I'm located in Tampa,FL.

Also, would you mind telling me what we are looking at as far as below MSRP? Or is the car going to pretty much sell at sticker price and thats it?

I don't like to bargain to much, I want to know I got a good deal, you got your cut and I'm a happy kid!

Since you live in Tampa check out Stingray Chevrolet about 30 minutes up I4 towards Orlando. The only discount you would get off MSRP is Supplier Pricing at delivery if available. Dealer fee is reasonable too. $500 down for your order, refundable of course. You most likely will have to pay MSRP for quite some time.

Might hold off. Not too keen on paying ABOVE MSRP. Pure profit for the dealer.

I called my dealer yesterday and i told him i wanted to be put on the waitlist. I was happy with the knowledge the guy i talked to had on the Camaro so far. He said that they already have there shipment put in for the cars and they should be arriving sometime in October. I asked him if he could put me on the waiting list for a White 2SS with black interior. He told me of course, he also said he would text me with any updates he had. I'm 2nd on the list for a white 2SS for that dealership! I can't wait!
