Gas prices:
Just filled up the SS today. I paid $293.9 for Mobil 93. (I know, Ct is one of the highest in the U.S.) I then looked at my old receipts and see I was were paying $487.9 on Oct 23 2013 ( almost $2.00 a gallon more !! ) and $412.9 on Sept 6, 2014.
Just saying, It's nice to see something is going down in price.

I just recently read where the Saudi's, who are currently losing millions everyday, are purposely keeping the oil price low to drive others out of business. Part of their long term plan.
That is close to what I'm paying for Exxon 93 here in Md.

$293.9 for a gallon, or for a tanker truck full? That's a lot of money. Regular gas here is $1.96 and the 93 octane right now is $2.40-ish

Totally digging the gas prices, relative to what it HAS been. I recently took a road trip, in a rented car that got over 30 MPG, just as gas prices went down (about $2.60/ average for the trip). Very nice...
Filled up this morning, $2.69/ gallon... yes, in CA... I swear it's true! (To be fair, a few months ago, I filled up near Phoenix for $1.79/ gal.). |

... although what brings me even greater joy than relatively low gasoline prices is that yesterday, Governor Moonbeam, the hippie- dippy greenie who heads this state, signed into bill some new envirolaws, but was NOT able to get the most ambitious part of his bill passed: He wanted--- and has been pushing hard--- to pass legislation that would have required every Californian to reduce their gasoline usage by half. This would have been done by rationing, or tracking, or some other wacky and impossible means. I'm glad to see that this hair- brained idea failed to pass... I cannot even count how many ways that this would have spelled disaster.
