I went with the SPR pedals in black, pyramid grid with the heel toe gas pedal. Love them. No slippage.

agreed. especially when it's raining out and the bottom of your foot gets wet. the rubber on rubber when you're wearing sneakers not only makes an awful squeaking noise, but they can alternately slip/grab when your foot slides and hits wet then dry spots on your shoe. I put on the aluminum racing pedals shown below and they're way more consistent in all conditions. I love 'em. $130 well spent.

I have the ZL1 pedal covers also and tried all the tricks I found here: baking the brake cover in the oven, letting it sit in hot water and still couldn't get it on myself. The brake cover was so rigid that the rubber started separating from the metal after trying to fit it over the pedal multiple times. I ended up returning the first set I had, buying a new set, and just letting the dealer put them on while I was there for something else.

I've had these Yates Performance pedals on for over a year now and really like them. Very well made and about cost about 40% less than some of the alternatives.
