Best SS exhaust note for cheap

Didn't realize the 2014-15 LS3's had 4 catalytic converters. Chop off the 2nd set of converters behind the O2 sensors, add x pipe, muffler(s) delete.

Great sound for cheap. (found this on youtube after searching for awhile)

No idea. I've just been searching for 14-15 because their exhaust systems are slightly different I believe

Yes, all 5th Gen have 4 cats. The resonator is the key difference in sound.

A standard muffler delete will prove to be a noteworthy upgrade over stock sound as well. Most shops can do that under $100, at least they can in Ohio. It'll always be my go to when I first get a vehicle (v8). Makes the world of a difference. Only exhaust mod I ever did on my 05 Mustang GT. Usually sounds deep and beautiful.

In terms of having a nice, deep tone on these cars in relation to cost, I've found the following to be the best in my opinion: Muffler Delete > Flowmaster Outlaw Axleback > SW Retro Chamber Catback. Just ordered the latter, cant wait to get it on. With longtubes and cat deletes, it's bound to wake the dead

SW Retro sounds like muffler delete to me but a little deeper. If I actually run a Catback again, I'd go with Flowmaster Outlaw. But those 3 choices you put all sound good to me.

Deep is the best sound on these cars to me, so thats why I listed those haha. But the SW retro offers the deepest sound it seems, with the benefits of a full 3in exhaust. Where the muffler delete offers close to the same tone, but has the restrictive factory catback. Worth the $800 difference between the two? I guess that's up for debate

I couldn't tell personally, but the hooker blackheart systems sound deep. That is the type of tone I would want a deep clean rumble.

Anyone know if deleting the rear set of catalytic converters would void warranty? I wouldn't think so but you know how dealerships can be.

I would think yes. But I don't know for sure.

Did you make an exhaust choice?

I'll probably ask my dads GM tech that he takes his stuff too. Probably get a more true answer just in case.

I'm going to cut the rear set of catalytic converters out, add magnaflow x pipe, leave in resonators, and add quad 4" tips.

Anything behind the rear o2 sensors is fair play. High flows or cat deletes, long tubes, shorties anything in front starts messing with the warranty. At least that's what my dealer told me. I had the secondaries taken off, went in for an oil change, and the tech said he thought what I did was clever.

HFCs really sound good too and don't kill your warranty and will pass inspection if need be
