Question about spark plugs

Hi everyone, I just have a quick question here, mine is 2014 camaro 1le. I'm trying to order an kooks 1 7/8 long tube header with high flow cat and get it tune recently. And one tuner shop told me I better to get new set of NGK TR6 spark plugs instead stock ones, but I did some research on this spark plug is that the temperature is too low for NA LS enige told by some of LS1/33/99 owners. I don't have too much acknowledges on spark plugs, so if any of you guys can suggest what kind of spark plugs I should go for in this case. Thanks!

The NGK TR6 is a winner on the LS engines. Just about every car that comes through the shop gets a set.

Good to know, but I don't know why most of Camaro owners suggest to replace stock ACD ones, that's why I just wanna clear it out right here. Thanks!

As stated ^^^

The NGK TR6/TR6IX is a Colder Range plug. You use them along with all that new found horsepower to reduce the likelihood of detonation.

If the car is O.E. the factory heat range is fine. When modding the car and getting more aggressive with timing via tuning the colder plugs work. When removed after pulls the fuel ring and heat mark are "Johnny on the spot"
This is not a blanket statement as we can not attest to how all vehicles get tuned only what we do here.

one more question, this is only NGK TR6 I can find it, is this correct one? Looks so cheap, I'm happy with the price
And which one I should pick between G power and V power?

TR6 is a copper V grove , not platinum or Iridium . They work great but don't last as long . In fact some say they make more horsepower .http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo....501817&jsn=422

That link is the TR6. Will need to change more often. But a lot less $ than the IX plugs.

This is their 6ix link: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/ngk-3689

I grew up in San Jose. Who are you using for tune? Installs?

Nice! I was did lots of research on good tuner shops in Bay Area as well. But seems not so many of them around NorCal, the one I got quote for install and tune is from Blu808 performance(almost 5 stars on yelp).

You use Instagram? Check out tuner @gptuning He tunes in SSF and in Hayward.

For installs, check out Hayward-based @jrg_motorsports

I've known @gptuning for 20 years. He's outstanding, been GM tuning for two decades. Absolutely top notch. I have heard the blu shop is good, but no personal experience.
