Awesome site! I've owned my 70 Camaro RS for 21 yrs now (since I was 17) and it is still not done. 9 yrs ago i decided to do a frame off restoration and haven't done a whole lot. Being married with 3 boys, the Camaro has been low on the priority list. Two left in the house 16 and 18yrs old - there is hope within a couple years.
Thanks again for the great site. |

Mostly primer gray and rust I'll have to scan some pics when it did have paint. It's currently in pieces in my garage.
Hugger orange with white stripes one day.

Well, a lot has changed since my first post. My 16yr old wanted a camaro and tried to talk me into fixing mine so he could drive to school. I had a buddy who still had a connection to a camaro I GAVE him but he sold to his brother in law. Who media blasted and did some body work...so $3500 bucks later I bought my son a 71. He has been working hard and handing over his paychecks - here is some progress. Waiting on brake and fuel lines to go with the new gas tank and rear disc brakes.

Wow cool , how do you get away with that? The knot heads where I live would never let that go on. Maybe I'll move to your town. Good luck on the build.

It was only in the yard a few hours, cleaned up before the neighbors came home I put the tent out when working on them and always keep the car covers on them. I'm lucky I live on the curve of the cul-de-sac so we don't get any through traffic. You don't get to see a camaro front end in the front yard that often - it's overhauling redneck edition

7DNHALF,
They both look like nice projects. You should check out the Second Generation Camaro Owners website: www.nastyz28.com It's by far the best place to get info on 2nd Gen Camaros. You can check out pics of my '74 Z28 in the "Post pictures of your 2nd Gen" thread here on Camaro5. (Post #35) Here' a link: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...t=29254&page=2
