V6 engine plant shutdown

Why is this plant shutdown? Dealers were notified last week, but no explanation.

i think this could be a case of yourdealerisfullofcrapitis, its a fairly common occurance as dealers are often full of it

The V6 was taken off the constraint list last week, there was no news about this.

If the v6 plant were shut down last week the v6 cars would not have been taken off constraint.

I don't know anything about where that is made. It is a GM motor. I would be sure if the plant closed that makes the v6 it would have been all over here and the net by now. He said that was last week.
Plus that v6 is in the cadys. I would think it is a money making product.

article states posted june 9th 2008
Also last week my salesman was telling me how popular the motor has become and he spoke like we will be seeing more of it. He even said he is more anxious to see the v6 motor camaro than the V8. With the power and low gas mileage. We expect the V8 to produce but not a V6.

I reported that story over at GMI over 6 months ago.

But I haven't heard anything about the plant shutting down.
