Can you not get an RS package on the Z28?

Really dumb if you cant lol...HID's should be the same weight as the ones they use on it now...

HIDs mean more wiring for the ballasts and all that... added weight. What do you need HIDs and halos for when you're driving around a track.

The HIDs are the only thing that would be changed. If your getting a Z28 you aren't worrying about that kind of stuff. Pure and simple, it's a stripped down, street driven race car. Are you upset the COPO doesn't have an RS option?

Actually no it isn't according to GM's objective & scope for the new Z/28... like they broadcasted- basically a track oriented race ready car that is street legal... hence bare essentials such as functional lights per DOT requirements. To save on costs & weight and minimize maintenance or upkeep on non-essential amenities, the key words are barebones/stripper/standard... a formula that works for the select who want a halo car such as this.

What's so "special" about the red paint I wonder? Special Edition?

So why did they bother to put coil covers on?

red pigments have been proven to be lighter than most other color pigments.silver is the heaviest as it is made from silver.black is next heaviest seeing as it absorbs all colors.naturally, that would make white the lightest color seeing as it is made from puffy clouds and doesn't absorb other colors.

hope this helps....
