ZL1 Bumper Conversion - COMPLETE
I completed my bumper conversion last weekend and I love it!!! I will post more pics when I get a chance.

Sweet I like , I can't tell in the pic but did u paint
the splitter and light bezels or not I'm aboult to do the same mod and want to see what most people are doing.

The purpose of the ZL 1 bumper is ground effects traction.
On the Z the hood is vented to expel the air from the bumper at an angle to force the front end down. Does the bumper without the hood venting put upward pressure under the hood and the force up the front of the car? |

Install heat extracting hood... Problem solved! Looks good. I'll be doing this in a few weeks. I can't wait.

Where did you get yours painted? At an official Chevy Dealership or someplace else? My mechanic says something about if its not Officially painted it will start fading and wearing in 1-2 years. That worries me.

Looks really good compared to the stock LT bumper!
And I assume that if you don't take it to the track that often or are not into racing you won't mind if you don't have the hood vent to make it fully functional. |
