The purpose of the ZL 1 bumper is ground effects traction.
On the Z the hood is vented to expel the air from the bumper at an angle to force the front end down. Does the bumper without the hood venting put upward pressure under the hood and the force up the front of the car?

I know what your saying, and chances are the front splitter and dam opening have increased front end lift at speed over stock.

Install heat extracting hood... Problem solved! Looks good. I'll be doing this in a few weeks. I can't wait.

Where did you get yours painted? At an official Chevy Dealership or someplace else? My mechanic says something about if its not Officially painted it will start fading and wearing in 1-2 years. That worries me.

Looks really good compared to the stock LT bumper!

And I assume that if you don't take it to the track that often or are not into racing you won't mind if you don't have the hood vent to make it fully functional.
