Another Cam Comparison

Looking for a comparison of the TSP 231/236 vs LG G6X3. I have LT headers, Vararam and exhaust. Would like to see if someone has dyno charts with near or the same supporting mods if at all possible. Thanks!!

That actually sounds real good...does it run alright without a tune? Has it thrown any codes?

OOOOHHHH!!!!!

I can't wait to see a true comparo even though were a little biased here at Southwest Speed.

We've been pushing LG cams out for a while now....but I completely respect and want to see what the 231 will do against it.

It runs ok, it took about 20 miles of driving for the computer to somewhat straighten itself out. I have a tune in it now which was before the cam, so alot of the codes were turned off then, so as of about an hour ago, no lights yet!. I havent really got on it hard, just taking it easy since i replaced the valve springs and pushrods with it.

Pics of Stik's Cam Install

Stik (and everyone that would like to look at pics), here are a few pics from the "historic" moment when you did the actual "install". I've got alot more but I'll pass those on to you in person.

Well, I'm in camaro south also, and I'm working on a g6x3 install now. Maybe soon I'll have results for you. It might be a bit before I actually get tuned though :(

Sounds good. Did you do anything to keep the lifters up? Im planning to stick some steel rods in tomorrow on mine.

It would be nice if we can get some low rpm driving (ie parking lot or road) videos looking at the tach and maybe out the window driving around to get a real idea on how drivable it is without switching the rear end gears. Of course, we need to bing the dyno charts in here also. I am real interested to see how the low end torque curves compare with similar supporting mods. Let the fun begin!!!

I used pen magnets. pull the pushrods and extend the magnets down to the lifters and when you hear the "click" of the magnet grabbing the lifter pull up slightly, like less than half inch and they'll stay put. Agkelly may have pics after we put the magnets in, U can PM him and see if he does.
