To Cactuseater, we don't keep information like what you're asking. Unfortunately you would have to ask around about this. Every Chevrolet dealer in the country should be able to take care of this type of issue for you and any GM dealer should be able to handle warranty repairs on any other GM vehicle. If you're having troubles with getting this taken care of then I would say changing dealers would be a good idea. The We Owe slip from your original dealer shouldn't matter in this case as your vehicle would be covered under this program any way and should be preformed regardless of the slip. If you're not sure if your vehicle is part of this program either post it here or message me your VIN and I'll check it over and get it back to you as soon as I can. Doe this mean that Chevrolet believes that the Camaro convertible top issues have finally been resolved and that the 2013 Camaro Convertible models should not have any of the convertible top problems that were evident on the 2011 and 2012 models?

Hi Guys. I'm new to this forum and just ordered a 2012 2SS/RS convertible on March 29. I was told I would get this in 1-2 months. My question is will I need to worry about checking my VIN for the rubbing top issue or can I assume this will be taken care of before they deliver my new vehicle (whenever that will be)?

I wouldn't assume anything. I would certainly bring it up to the dealership that you are aware of these issues and will be checking for them. Being pro-active would be your best bet.

Will do..thanks. This is my "mid-life crisis" mobile and I pulled the trigger on this after looking at just about everything else out there. I'm hoping I don't start off my ownership of this car with a bunch of headaches.

I know exactly what you mean......this is my first brand new car since 1973 (that was a Vega!!!) so I don't need headaches either.

I just found out mine is on the list, so I'll be taking it in this week to get the stuff ordered for it.....I am only getting the 'v' mark depressions right now, no holes.

But I truly love this car, it cruises like a dream.....especially on a day like today that was in the upper 80's....

Jeff, on a related but different convertable issue, do you know if there are any plans to offer a fiberglaas tonneau cover. Everyone I know who has or paid the extra $400 for the awlful current tonneau cover has had them blow off at least once. i don't want to buy into that. i might as well lite a match to my $400.
