Magnaflow's New Center Out Exhaust Systems

I was talking with one of the owners of Magnaflow at a recent trade show, and asked if they had any plans for a Center Out Corvette Style Cat Back Exhaust for the new Camaro. He said they looked into it, but the factory rear diffuser/bumper insert was an issue. The do not have the capabilities to make plastic or Carbon Fiber pieces, so the idea was dropped.

At the same trade show, Street Scene was present, so I asked Mike Spagnola who is the owner if he would be willing to work with Magnaflow to develop a rear replacement piece that was compatible with a center out Exhaust. He told me he already offered it in Carbon Fiber for anyone that wanted to fab their own system, but none of the Exhaust companies were offering a factory made bolt on system yet.

Back to Magnaflow with the Street Scene Catalog I went, and about six weeks later, I received these pics below. They will be offering both 2.5" and a 3" center out bolt on Cat Back systems.

The systems will NOT include the rear diffuser/insert. It must be purchased individually from a Street Scene distributor. This gives you the option of using the pre fab Carbon piece from Street Scene, or fabbing your own design like some others here have done.

Magnaflow will soon be releasing these two Center Out Cat Back Systems for the 2010 and 2011 Camaro. The 2.5" Includes a center mounted Crossover Muffler with Internal X-Pipe and straight pipes for the rest of the System. The 3" features an X-Pipe in the front section and two individual rear mounted Mufflers.

Both systems are designed to work with Street Scene's Carbon Fiber Camaro Rear Pan Part #950-70242 that has the cutout for these systems already included.

I actually kind of like it. Think I'm going to ditch my magnaflow cans (Axle-back) and go with some bullets/dumps here soon. Should pick up a tenth.

Like a cross between a muscle car and a Ferrari. It's a cool sound, but not at all what I expected.

Looks foreign to me. If Camaros came this way everybody would be moving them apart. IMO

Looks good, "but"...I prefer the 'Quads' for the center.

We sent Magnaflow the data to build the straight pipe versions for our diffusers last year, we then adapt to either the big reventon style tip or 4 tips , round or square. Its great when vendors work together for the good of the community. kudos

center exit

Does anyone have a p/n for the 3" center MagnaFlow system that is shown on the black car in the picture?
Or a release date or any info how to purchase it?
Called Magnaflow and the tech/rep had no idea what i was talking about.
