Reading that the car will wake up after a couple thousand miles is encouraging because, don't get me wrong, but my car does not perform like I thought a 6.2L muscle car would? After the fuse pull I took it out, put in manual mode, downshifted to 1st, pushed the traction control in for 10 seconds to turn everything off and stomped on it and it wouldn't even spin the tires? Maybe I was expecting too much but I have 250 miles on it now with no mods so hopefully it will come alive soon?
When you "stomped on it" torque management took over. I do not believe any buttons turn off the Torque Management. Probably has a moment of bog...

I have just over 3000 miles and pulled the fuses for a second time this weekend... Same results as the first pull at 1500 miles.. Noticeable difference both times.

dont expect it to come alive for anouther 1500 - 2000 miles.

honestly, you can search for my posts, I was in the exact same spot you are not long ago. Everyone told me to wait for the break-in and the miles and I was very skeptical... but, I waited.

at about 1700 miles, give or take, the car started to come into its own a little more. I cant sit and roast from a dead stop, but now I can lay a 10-ft patch with TC on if I stomp on it at a stop sign, going straight from a dead-stop. hopefully it will come out of its shell more with more miles on it, but I have been happy so far.

We still need an answer regarding LS3's that have already been tuned. Will I lose my tune if I pull the fuses?

L99/LS3 take about 15K for break in. Believe me she will only get better. Last summer could not spin my tires if over 90F only had 9K on car. This summer with 20K on the car she will spin them if even 100F. I drive with traction control on now more since she will spin them all the time.

I have had my 2011 2SS M6 for about four weeks and just passed 1500 miles (went on a trip this past weekend) I did the fuse pull last night.

Absolutely no question that it has more power now. It revs quicker and has a power "kick in" around 3000-3500 rpm that was not there before. Traction control engaged when the tires tried to spin at that kick-in spot

you would think after all these posts on this subject that someone from GM or a good tuner would have replied and given a conclusive answer by now

It is a know problem on the 2010 Camaro's. GM knows about it because my car was sick and they learned after they sent engineers down from Michigan to see what was going on. They discovered the computers do not relearn and do not go to the high octane table.

Since this time the did some adjusting on the knock sensors to make sure false reading were not getting picked up and throwing the car to the low octane table.

As far as I know 2011 are still have the issue to but it was getting worked on and not all of them may have the issue anymore. As far as the car waking up with more miles it will. My car will spin the tires even with traction control on where last year she would not. I am now at 21K on her for milage.

Just curious if there's a reason that I may not know about

I'm thinking I'm gonna try this when I get my car back though!
fusion ?

I pulled the fuses about 2 hours ago on my LS3. I am curious to see what happens because I know for a FACT 87 has been through the car AFTER i had been driving it for about 1000 miles. (If i remember correctly the station I went to wasnt supplying 91 octane. It was in the buttcrack of nowhere and I was empty) Now, my car runs strong as it is. So I will post back in an hour or so with the results of the 5-20 pull (Sounds like a good "mod name". I'm gonna tell my mustang buddies "Yeah ive got CAI, no exhaust and a 5-20 pull!!" lol)

Ok, so all I can say is this DOES work. At least for me it did. I just took the car out for a spin and good god she definitely has more power. Throttle response improved as well as acceleration. Spins the tires shifting to second and not only chirps but spins a bit into third gear as well. I'd definitely say to other LS3 owners that it is worth the time to try it out, worked in my situation.

I've read this thread many times and didn't think I needed to do the pull but curiosity got the best of me and what a difference. Or at least for a little while. First I had installed flowmaster mufflers and have a horrible drone when cruising and it was fixed virtually gone on top of that I had better gas mileage pulling 26 on freeway and also more power. I was living a dream for about a hundred miles the second hundred it started to slip away, the drone started to come back and everything was back to normal. Not that normal is bad but that was awesome for awhile . I run 91 octane the best CA has got.
