Ran the car at test n tune tonight

Went to the test and tune tonight at a track.

Best run was 13 flat @ 111mph, worst 13:36. Could not get traction with the street tires.

Need to see what I can do with a set of drag radials or slicks.

Felt great to finally get the car on the track. Bummer that my son had track practice and could not make it, but my 16yo daughter followed me in her BMW 1 Series, and she ran her first track run.

She ran a 15:42 best.

Good news is we had a great father / daughter evening out, bad news is that I think she liked it too much.

Nice! Not bad for first time out with the car. Did the car pull hard all the way to redline?

111mph has to be good for mid 12s if you can hook up... Things are looking up! Glad you're on your way to get it running correctly after your issues! There's probably some more hidden gem's to make for better times along the way, best of luck!

Wow, 111 MPH trap is good for low to mid 12s. Your first time out and a convertible no less. What tire pressure did you run? I found about 23-25 psi rear and 40 psi front worked pretty good on street tires. Do just a light burn out (dust 'em off).

It's going to be a battle to see whether you or Magnum get in the 11s first.

Might have to be a three way battle...

You should be able to hit 12.5 with street tires, I did with 35 psi in the tires. Do you have an auto or manual? Can you also post your timeslip, see what the 60' was?

Might be some tricks I've learned that can get you faster.

When Magnum hooks with his 1LE diff, i think he'll break the long standing v6 1/4 mile record on camaro5 of 11.8.

Thanks, See below. I did not even do anything to the tires air wise. Drove it 1.5 hrs to the track after work, ran several laps, then spent most of the time with my daughter teaching her to stage. The track boss was real cool, he let me ride shotgun with her on her first run, then all the guys at the track were all like and that was it for the night.

The back half was great. Get her to hook up and you are golden.

Thanks, been a while that's for sure. Next best was 13.085 @ 109.97, RT .508, after that it was mid 13's all the way and a 14 where I really got into the tires and had to back off as the rear was floating.

I picked a whole 1LE cradle up and waiting a few for the $$ to get the driveshaft and installed.

Magnum, whats the scoop on your 1LE rear, any issues installing?
