VR1 is a street oil. Valvoline also has a Racing oil that says not street legal on the bottle. That is the oil I use in my 3000 hp outlaw 10.5 car, it has the Zinc. It does not have an API rating. I don't think the VR1 has a whole lot of extra Zinc since it is API SM certified. I don't think the Racing Oil plays nice with cats if you still have them. I just use Mobil1 5w30 in my whipple charged 2010 since the clearances are all stock.

But, now that EZ-Lube is owned by Valvoline... i will likely run the VR1 Street formula
