RPM Built ZL1 733/733
When I had about 400 miles on the clock of my new ZL1 I stopped by to see Charlie, the owner of RPM in Santa Clarita, CA. to talk about an approach to reach my goal of 700 RWHP...So he puts in on the dyno and it puts down a typical number of 489 HP & 499 TQ...On to the modding, we had some part delivery issues but it was certainly well worth the wait when finished...Picked it up yesterday after one more pull on the dyno when I was there.............707 RWHP & 726 RWTQ. Simply amazing...The drivability feels like stock and the power incredible...This BEAST will require all of my attention when accelerating...The curve is amazing, 600 TQ @ 2500 RPM & 700 @ 3150 RPM...Keeps making power to 6800 with redline reset to 7100...A/F @ 11.9 with boost @ 14 @ 6800...We feel that is very safe but may add meth to be sure, the only problem with the meth is it will add another 30 to 40 HP...LOL...It's incredibly loud on start-up but no drone @ speed...Now I have to call & see the guy that bought my 584/516 ZO6 to see how it performs real world...Graph up tomorrow.
Greg

Meth is your friend! If you do, go ALKY Control, best out there and run Meth, not the washer fluid BS kits others sell.

I tried to get that exact license plate (BEAST) but it was taken. Greg

Have you gave any more thought to adding the Meth kit? It'll keep your IAT's lower & also give you a bump in HP. I found that the Alky kit really works well with SC engines.

Ill jump on the band wagon, meth kit is a great addition, mine is custom run by Granatelli Motorsports, and does awesome, brought me from 634HP to 677HP and i only run 9lbs of boost at the moment! When i add my cog drive and up the boost ill easily hit 700+...either way congrats on the work so far!!
