I'm running all MTL and I would agree that once the weather turns cold the shifts can be pretty stiff. If I didn't track my car I would run a combo 3-1 or 2-2... even less if driven year round.

So, I got her out of storage and drove yesterday and today. Just wanted to check in.

Today, I left without warm-up, and the temp was around 50 degrees.

My 50/50 mix continues to be great. Even cold, the tranny felt good. The car only has 4800 miles, and it gets smoother and smoother as it continues to "break in."

At least for my "stored in winter" car, the 50/50 mix has turned out to be ideal.

Looking to change out my tranny and rear dif fluid on my 1LE and my V6, both are manual. What is the high quality recommendation for these cars driven year round in Florida?

I would do either 50/50 D4 and MTL, or even 75% MTL since you're in FL - for the 1LE.

I believe the v6 has completely different requirements so can't advise there

Any particular weights? Is it the same for the tranny and rear dif? Thanks for the help!

For the 1LE, it is auto fluid (like D4 and MTL). For the v6, I don't know - check your manual!
