manual trans coolant lines.

any one with experience in moving the lines during trans. install? short cuts? they were a pain when i pulled it. don't really want to twist them like a pretzel. with all the clutch installs out there no one is precise on how to get around them. i've unhooked them from the radiator unbolted from under starter etc. guidance would be appriciated. have patience. i'm almost there. i think that i have the numbers figured out on the clutch play. ok, back outside in my garage goingto put my clutch in today: west of st.louis 100+ degrees in my garage 4 fans blowing 2 in my face down low.whew!!!!!!!! the oldman.......

Putting an AC in my garage was some of the best money I've ever spent.

On the lines, if you have them disconnected, you should be able to pull them back a bit or turn them as a unit to give room for the trans to go up. Zip ties are good. The block that holds them together does come apart with a little bending, but I never had to do that pulling the trans. If you did not already know, put the clips in the trans and radiator before you put the lines back and the lines should just snap in with a little coaxing.

thanks cracka, i was looking at that. yes, to preinstall the clips is fantastic idea. i was just wondering that. dorman has little bulk packs of those clips. tywraps great! i just know i struggled removing the trans. i was also reading to roll the trans to the right a bit because of firewall interfearence issues. got a tall roof , its really a pool barn i trimmed out the inside. 12 ft ceilings i trimmedout the walls with 8ft sheets of 1/2 inch plywood instead of drywall. 5 years ago plywood high dollar now.

To get the top bolt tight, I tilt the engine back and use a 24 in extension on a butterfly impact.

I did the ceiling of my garage in OSB and insulated behind that so a single 25k btu AC would cool it. I remember when I used to work on cars outside in the dirt. I never want to go back there.
