Spark Plugs 2010 LS3

I wasn't sure what forum to post this in. So I apologize if this is the wrong one.

I have a 2010 SS with the LS3. I have headers, CAI and cat delete. All stock otherwise. It was tuned 4 years ago. I called the tuner to ask about spark plugs and the tuner's wife mentioned something about using the stock plugs but go 1 step colder. I thought that was with forced induction.

Anyways, I had originally called them cause I was wondering if I could use copper plugs instead of the iridium.

Thanks for the help.

Been my 39 years experience that you can't go wrong with what it was built with. With extreme modification a change in plug may be necessary, but with what you have I'd use what came with the car. If it's good enough for GM to stand behind it's good enough for me.

I was told to go one step colder as well, before and after my cam swap. Before the cam swap I was mostly full bolt on btw.

I run the NGK TR6IX Iridiums and have had great success with them. These are what was recommended to me by both tuners.

When I was tuned with just a CAI, LT headers, off road mids, no cats and a ported throttle body, my tuner had me running NGK TR55's, copper plugs, now that I'm cammed and tuned, we run the NGK TR6IX's...
