Finally after 2 years, my Z/28 is home!

Ever since I first saw this car 2 years ago, I wanted this car more than I've ever wanted a car before. I've owned 6 Corvettes, 2 Vipers, 2 Shelby GT500's and a load of others...(ie Audi S4, Mercedes CLA45 AMG) etc. My most recent car was a 2015 Challenger Scat Pack, which I traded on the Z/28.

My Dad, who just bought a 2011 ZR1 went with me to look at it, and he all but fell all over this car. He can't get over how completely bad ass this car looks compared to everything I've ever owned...even the Vipers. My wife even agrees that this car has it all over a Gen 3 Viper in the looks department.

I'm still in the learning phase right now. Reading the manual, watching the videos, reading the magazine articles. It's been a fun weekend to say this least! I'll post a few pics tomorrow, but I did manage to get one in my sig and my avatar.

Looking forward to owning this car for a long long time.

You know, after seeing this car parked next to a C6 Z06 and a 2016 C7 Z51, even my Dad, who is diehard Corvette through and through, said the Z/28 looked better than both those Corvettes. Which shocked the hell out of me.

I agree 100%. I still go out in the garage and marvel at how good this car looks.

I've seen posts from other people stating their car is #xx of xx total built. How do I tell what number car I have? Last 3 of my VIN is 738. Would that be the number? How many '15's did they build?

Nice car!!!
That is the build number (last four or five digits)
We are all still waiting for the final 2015 build counts as soon as production ends.

Your vin would be ..xx700738, the 700 stands for production and 738 is which one came of the assembly line. Around 1287 have been produced as last confirmed, that's not final numbers I don't think. In 2014, only 440 cars were made along with 69 CTF cars (capture test fleet).

Congrats on the purchase, enjoy!

Congrats!
Is truly a badass car on the street and track.

Ohh, and don't drive it like you stole it until you reach 1500 miles and have the oil changed, etc like the break in procedure says...regardless of what others say. IMHO

Thanks everyone! I'm super excited about owning this car. I'm 42 years old and have owned 86 cars in my life. Crazy, I know. But I never had that feeling that I finally had the car I've always wanted and fit every aspect of my driving style. This car has it all and then some.
