Going to the 1/4 for the first time in my 2012 RS 2SS L99, advice?

Hey guys I am taking my 2012 L99 RS 2SS to the track for the first time tonight for a little fun. I am by no means a hardcore drag racer but I have been to the track a few times in past cars which included my old 97 Auto LT1 Z28 and 99 LS1 m6 Z28.
Best time I ever got in any car was the LS1, ran a 13.6 at 106mph.

Any advice on taking this car down the 1/4?
Should I turn the traction control completely off or leave it in competition mode?
I assume the best setting for the transmission is sport mode while letting the car shift itself?
I have only had a it a few months, it's completely stock, do you think I will best my old LS1's et and trap speed?
Thanks for any advice.

Best Regards
Gerry

What I did was leave off idle with traction all the way off amd stomp it and leave it on M and let it shift itself.

Don't worry about racing, learn to drag race. Think about ALL the things you do right and wrong. Learn from them.

I hold the button down 5-6 seconds, turn both off.

I went 13.15@106 1.95 in mine all stock.

Here are my best two runs I was #100 in the right lane.

Traction was a big issue, the track was cold, I was getting wheel spin in 1st and 2nd gears.
That was with the traction/stability control set in competition mode and me rolling off the lights into the throttle.
I ran a few times with the traction control completely off but got a lot more wheel spin and it was getting a little loose in the ass end when I was hitting second gear. Basically unless you had slicks or all wheel drive traction was I issue for anyone on street tires.

1/4 MPH is right there. I sometimes rolled into the gas too, how I got my 1.95.
