Same story, different coaches. Next year will like this one was.

Very true. But I think the playoff loss whetted their appetites. I really think Pete Carroll wants to win very badly to make his legacy there and the Seahawk management wants it more now than ever. I just think it will happen there.

We have about 3-4 years before we even have to worry about that. We're very good on cap room.

And, out of all of this...we have Russell Wilson. I dare say he surprised a few people on these boards. I saw what you all saw yesterday all season long which is why I'm so up on this team even after the loss yesterday.

I just believe that they will win at least one SB when it's all said and done. And if and when they win one, I can see them winning more- Like the Patriots have done. And like the Patriots' Belichick and Brady, I think Carroll and Wilson have that connection.

I just have that gut feeling that this is the beginning of something really great out in Washington state. Yes, RGIII is great, Luck is great, and will do excellently with their teams in the next decade but I really don't think Shanahan or Pagano are that great of coaches. Good yes, but not great. San Fransisco has a great tandem too and will be a force to be reckoned with in that division with Kaepernick and Harbaugh. This is from a Cowgirl fan, so I have no dog in this fight. I just see the NFC West dominating things for a bit in the near future with Seattle and San Francisco. I know I know as much as the next guy which is not much but just a humble opinion of what I forsee on the horizon.

So, today was the day the players clean out their lockers.

Do you know what Russell Wilson was doing?

Watching film. He's going to go on a week long honeymoon because he didn't take his honeymoon a year ago, then it's back to studying up for next year. Wilson's work ethic is amazing.

Oh, and this was our fans welcoming the team home last night. Please note the White Camaro Convertible.

This would be great for almost any team that needs a QB...

not sure where the hate for Alex Smith comes from, he wins games and doesn't make mistakes.

When he was taken out he had won 24 of the last 26 games for the 49ers and should of won the championship game last year, the punt returner muffing back to back punts is what lost that game, not Alex.....

He went toe to toe with the offensive powerhouse New Orleans saints last year in the playoffs and won, he has led them to the top of their division and made the 49ers a team people don't want to play, yet everyone treats him worse than Ponder.....I just don't get it.

I wouldn't say I'm an Alex Smith fan, Falcons to the bone here, just saying, not sure why there's so much hate out there, he isn't flashy, but neither is Rogers or Brady.
