GAMING - Pay Activision (Call of Duty) More Money???

First we saw the map packs go up to $15! Now there is word that they might try to start a monthly subscription fee to play future COD games!

I was ready to boycott and go to Medal of Honor, but I really did not like how the game felt in the beta. I will rent the released game and try it again. If they try a monthly subscription for COD, I'm out... :(

What do you think? Would you pay $5, $10, or more a month to play?

Whether or not I'd pay a monthly fee is completely dependant on the service level I'd get by paying for it. If I got a seriously hot connection, it may be worth a few bucks. There are a lot of costs involved with hosting high quality servers.

I'd pay for map packs but definitely not a stupid subscription.

I don't think they use dedicated servers for COD. At least for the Xbox 360, I think the console with the best connection is assigned the host.

Not sure about PC and PS3 versions.

Halo:Reach is holding my attention right now and will for a while. MW2 is fun every once in a while for a few games. CoD:BO will not be bought by me!

I am a PC gamer and MW2 uses the best computer for host, MW uses dedicated servers. If they start a subscription then I think most of the PC gamers will stick with older versions. Even now MW has plenty of players online due to the dedicated servers.

no way in hell would i pay a monthly fee for a FPS, UNLESS, they offer great customer service, have some sort of anti-cheating software like punkbuster, have MUCH MUCH larger maps with large groups of people, like 126vs126. and host being able to modify game rules (IE. no grenade launchers, perks, etc.) the noob tubes have ruined the game for me, and i no longer even play COD, and even then I would be very suspect on paying a subscription to some greedy ass gaming company.

Would this apply to Console users too? Because that would be BS to have to pay for XboxLIVE and a Game subscription as well. This isn't a damn MMO.

THEY'RE ALREADY MAKING ENOUGH MONEY WHATS THE DEAL!?!?
Having to pay for xbox live is fine, but having to pay to play C.O.D. or to play extra maps is straight up ridiculous!!
