Exhaust banging over bumps

My exhaust has been making a banging noise when I drive over bumps. I finally crawled under the car and could clearly see rub marks on the resonator over the front chassis brace. I added washers to space out the brace and the noise was almost non existent. I think the rear brace is hitting also. I decided the washer fix was not a very elegant solution so I ordered a MBRP Reinforcement Brace Spacer Kit AD1710 from Ohio Speed to space out both braces. The kit says that it will allow for a 3" exhaust on a convertible. Will this kit allow me to install a coupe cat back exhaust system on a convert now?

I haven't researched what all the differences are, and I wouldn't assume until you have more information. Hopefully those who know more will chime in.

I would also look into why it is hitting now - what has changed, is something else loose or broken?

I had this issue when I got my Borla Exhaust.. they Ended up using spacers and that kinda worked .. but the real thing that worked is when I had another Shop weld hangers in place .. not a single noise and it sounds better i think at least cause its more stable attached to the car.
